The Wikabani's Story
Wikabani’s remarkable journey traces back to 1995 when Kemi Animashaun embarked on a visionary venture, sourcing fabrics locally, mainly jersey, and using the services of local tailors to transform them into ready to wear stylish garments for ladies.
What began as a small venture quickly gained recognition amongst friends and families, who became her early customers. Their response and continued patronage became the start of Kemi’s fashion entrepreneurial journey, and the birth of a different brand name as a sole proprietor.
Through years of hands-on experience, a deep understanding of the women’s fashion, and an unwavering commitment to quality, laid the foundation for what would later become the esteemed Wikabani in 2015.
The Founder
In 2019, Kemi took another significant step to establishing her own production company. With a team of tailors and artisans, Wikabani began producing its own garments, giving the brand greater control over craftsmanship, quality, and design, producing garments for beautiful women.
Today, Wikabani serves customers across Nigeria, neighboring African countries and visitors from different places, such as the US, Uk, Canada and beyond. While the brand has traditionally focused on women in business and career women, it has expanded into men’s clothing in December 2025.
At the core of Wikabani is a simple belief: quality should never be compromised. Our pieces are timeless and elegant. And many of our customers return while others introduce Wikabani to friends and families which is a reflection of the relationship we have built over the years and the quality we continue to stand for.
